The Details:

We are seeking an innovative and strategic SVP, Actuarial to lead our Pricing and Portfolio Management functions. This role will drive profitable growth, leveraging advanced analytics, pricing tools, and portfolio optimization strategies.  As a key partner to the executive team, the SVP will influence business decisions, enhance underwriting income, and foster a high-performing actuarial team.

What will you do? (Job Duties)

· Define and execute the vision for actuarial pricing and portfolio management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

· Collaborate with underwriting, product, and executive leadership to drive profitable growth and diversification.

· Serve as a trusted advisor on rate adequacy, profitability, and portfolio performance.

· Oversee development and refinement of pricing tools, predictive models, and methodologies to support rate adequacy and product innovation.

· Lead portfolio analytics to optimize underwriting income, assess capital allocation, and monitor aggregation of risks.

· Conduct profitability reviews and strategic analyses to achieve target loss ratios and enhance business performance.

· Advance the use of technology, external data, and predictive analytics to enhance pricing and portfolio insights.

· Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing actuarial team, fostering collaboration and innovation.

· Develop team capabilities to meet evolving business needs while promoting professional growth.

· Collaborate with reinsurance and carrier partners to evaluate program and portfolio performance.

· Provide strategic insights to internal and external stakeholders to achieve favorable treaty economics and capital support.

· Partner with the EVP, Head of Actuarial, in building and shaping the Actuarial team.

What we are looking for: (Experience)

· FCAS designation (or high-functioning ACAS with a proven track record of leading pricing teams).

· Typically 15+ years of actuarial experience with demonstrated leadership.

· Proven expertise in predictive analytics, profitability optimization, and capital allocation strategies.

· Demonstrated success in leading high-performing teams and driving complex initiatives.

· Experience managing multiple projects and workstreams autonomously.

· Collaborative mindset with a knack for mentoring actuarial talent.

· Strong time management and resource allocation skills.

· Ability to build from ground up.

· Exceptional communication and strategic thinking abilities.

Pay Range:   $201,200 – $301,800

The above pay range is for all US-based roles based on function and level, benchmarked against companies of similar size and scope. To be compliant with local legislation as well as provide greater transparency to candidates, we disclose salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired job location. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and the opportunity for annual long-term incentive stock grants. In addition, we offer a highly competitive benefits package. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and qualifications, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
