The Details:

Palomar is seeking a Project Management Officer, who will report directly to the EVP, Operations. This role will take ownership of our key projects and initiatives. This role is directly responsible for providing leadership and management over day-to-day responsibilities and processes for a team of associates as well as nearshore resources charged with delivery of high-quality solutions to program sponsors and stakeholders through effective roadmap, design, construction, and post implementation analysis to ensure requirements are fulfilled.

What will you do? (Job Duties)

· Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute business strategies to exceed operational expectations and further enhance the customer experience.

· Deep understanding of business strategy and ability to translate strategy into system and technology solutions.

· Demonstrated “hands on” experience working in fast paced environments and tweaking business processes to support growth and productivity.

· Demonstrated ability to lead change, able to take calculated risk and seeks continuous improvement.

· Demonstrated ability in building a successful organization and experience delivering results via improved customer satisfaction, lower production costs and high levels of employee engagement.

· Work with various stakeholders to define project vision and roadmap strategy.

· Collaborate with stakeholders, SMEs, and developers to ensure implementations and designs meet usability specifications.

· Lead and develop the team by setting clear goals and objectives, coaching and supporting them with career development.

· Overall responsible for service delivery and enterprise solutions to ensure products are delivered in accordance with business objectives

Specific Deliverables

· Design repeatable “playbooksfor the consistent execution of product launches and MGA onboarding

· Lead the team responsible for managing such product launches and MGA onboarding

· Implement a consistent methodology, toolkit and reporting for project management, and delivery at Palomar

· Help centralize all projects at Palomar and provide visibility, governance and a prioritization mechanism to Executive Leadership

What we are looking for: (Experience)

· Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Accounting, Computer Science, or other relevant field

· 8-10 years of relevant professional experience in service delivery including previous working experience in Agile and Scrum principles

· Insurance or Financial Services experience highly preferred

· Previous management experience highly preferred

· 5+ years of experience in Agile and Scrum principles, CSPO or CSM certification a plus

· Strong problem solving, communication, and analytical skills

· Proficient understanding of software design concepts and techniques

· Outstanding written/verbal communication, presentation, and leadership skills

· Highly organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and be a self-starter in a fast-paced environment with demanding internal and external deadlines

· Excellent time management skills, with strong ability to juggle multiple priorities

· Proven ability to deliver quality results in a rigorous and dynamic business environment.

· Mentor business analyst and scrum master staff while taking ownership of all department processes, including bridging consistency between business analyst teams

· Pursue training and development opportunities; strive to continuously build knowledge and skills; share expertise with others.

· Proficient level skill in MS Office, particularly in Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, formulas, queries) preferred

Pay Range: $165,000 – $247,500

The above pay range is for all US-based roles based on function and level, benchmarked against companies of similar size and scope. To be compliant with local legislation as well as provide greater transparency to candidates, we disclose salary ranges on all job postings regardless of the desired job location. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and the opportunity for annual long-term incentive stock grants. In addition, we offer a highly competitive benefits package. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and qualifications, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
